Our
service includes, but is not limited to exams, surgery, dentistry,
diagnostic imaging, microchipping, vaccines, and a labratory.
General physical exams
Procedure
performed by Dr. Bechtel checking all major body systems from head
to tail. The physical exam is the most vital part of each
pet's yearly visit.
Microchipping
The
Bayer ResQ microchip is a small chip about the size and shape of a grain
of rice which is injected under the pet's skin with a syringe. The
microchip gives the pet a permanent form of ID, which is identified
by a scanner used by animal hospitals, emergency centers,
humane societies, etc.

Laboratory
Our
in house lab has the ability to evaluate blood, urine, stool and various
tissue samples rapidly. Kokopelli also works with a referral
veterinary lab for a variety of specialized tests.
Pharmacy
The pharmacy
aids client convenience by offering many of the commonly prescribed
animal medications and prescription animal diets.
Dentistry
Much animal
disease starts at the gum line. We recommend periodic prophylactic
dental cleanings based on evaluation of your pet's gums and teeth. Tooth
extraction or oral tumor removal can also be performed when necessary.

X-Ray
Our advanced
veterinary X-ray unit and darkroom allow us to evaluate changes in
major organs (heart, lungs, liver etc.) and bones (fractures, dislocations).
Ultrasound
This noninvasive
test allows for evaluation of abdominal organs and can aid in obtaining
fine needle biopsies of abnormal organs. This is the same test
performed on pregnant women to evaluate a baby. Surgery
All
forms of soft tissue surgery from spays/neuters to tissue biopsy
and organ removal are performed at our hospital. Dr.
Bechtel also performs a variety of orthopedic surgery. |
