Holiday Pet Food Drive Our 3rd annual Holiday Pet Food Drive was a success, 3,864 lbs of pet food and kitty litter were collected and donated to CLAWS, Roice-Hurst Humane Society, Mesa County Animal Services, Grand Rivers Humane Society and Loma Cat House. Our goal for Christmas 2012 will be 5,000 lbs, and we will keep everyone updated on pet pics w/ Santa on Facebook when the time comes. Animal Essay Contest KAH is holding an animal essay contest for school age children in the 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. The essay topics are: Grade 3 - Tell us about your favorite animal. Grade 4 - What would animals say if they could talk?. Grade 5 - How has an animal helped you in daily life? Essays will be collected between Feb 22-29th, and prizes will be awarded for the top 3 essays in each grade. Kokopelli Animal Hospital is now on Facebook. We recently changed out settings to allow clients to comment on our Facebook wall. Feel free to show off pictures of you 4 legged family members on our site, we would love to see them. |
