We took our new puppy to Kokopelli Animal Hospital and they are always so friendly. It is great to have a Vet that we trust and takes their time to make sure all of our questions are answered. Thank you to Baer and his staff.

The staff at Kokopelli Animal Hospital have always been professional, supportive and caring for our pets health needs. The veterinarians provided us the time and their honest opinions during periods of crisis concerning our animals health. Our pets received excellent care allowing us to feel confident that our pets’ well-being was the foremost concern of all the staff.

We have been receiving nothing but the best care from KAH for almost 10 years. We never consider the thought of trusting our companions health to anyone else.

I love everyone at Kokopelli Animal Hospital. I am truly blessed that I found Dr. Bechtel and all of the staff. I love all my animals like my kids and I completely trust them with my family. The care they give my family and myself through just the normal visit to the tough ones, words can't describe. All I can say is Thank You for being so caring.

Dr. Bechtel and the staff at Kokopelli Animal Hospital are the best! Let me tell you why. Mick, an Italian Greyhound came to live with me Dec. 11th, 2006. He was four years old. My youngest sister recommended Dr. Bechtel very highly. Mick and I made many trips to KAH over almost eight years, as Mick had many health issues. Dr. Bechtel was always very thorough and always discussed his findings and the recommendations he felt were suitable. The care provided was exceptional! All staff members were very caring in their treatment of my special boy. On Jan. 7th, 2014, Mick and I made our last visit to KAH. As I held my pet, Dr. Bechtel put him to sleep. It was very peaceful and the last gift I could give to my beloved Mick. I still visit KAH every so often. Over the years, they have become very dear and special friends.

Dr. Bechtel has cared for my pets the entire 7 years I've lived in Fruita & had pets. He leads an incredibly caring team at Kokopelli Animal Hospital. His caring & gentleness are just a couple of the reasons I will always trust him to care for my pets & the foster kittens I care for. Dr. Bechtel has a special way with animals which I knew at our first meeting 7 years ago. Even more important to me than being an amazing veterinarian, Dr. Bechtel is a very gentle, caring person.

When we moved to Fruita, from out of state, in late January 2006 the first thing we knew we had to do was to find a veterinarian for my dogs. (Even before I found a doctor for my husband and me) I got a card in the mail for Kokopelli Animal Hospital. We decided to call them and check them out. We took all 3 of our bloodhounds for a checkup and to get their Mesa County license. Dr. Bechtel and staff were just wonderful. You could tell that they really had compassion for the dogs. Over the years, Dr. Bechtel and his staff have been there for the good times and the bad times and they supported us in times of loss. Some of the staff has changed over the years but Dr. Bechtel has made sure that the staff is professional, keeps up on the newest techniques and procedures and has compassion that Dr. Bechtel is noted for. He brought in a new veterinarian, Dr. Lastine and she has been an added asset to the practice.

Dr. Bechtel and staff are involved in helping make the community a better place by doing things such as a pet food drive for the local shleters, a writing contest for elementary school children where they win prizes, pictures with Santa for our 4 legged friends and has even created a calendar with pictures of the some of the dogs from his practice appearing each month of the year with all the proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.

We would highly recommend Kokopelli Animal Hospital, where the staff is also your friend.
